CANON RECORDS IS AN ARTIST'S LABEL
Our artists work with us in a partnership, and are not bound to us in any of the traditional ways. We record, produce, and sell records. We promote in a limited capacity through our friends. We help the artists learn to market themselves, giving them all the opportunities we can. A safe and defined relationship gives the artist control of their work, and allows them to shine and excite. It's an experiment we believe in.

So the Canon Records / Dlay Music Management Party (next year we will shorten that) was awesome. Thanks to all the bands that donated their time and art, and thanks to our sponsors for providing free beer, musical instruments, lanyards, download cards, a venue!! Yeah, so the Irie Bean donated their venue! I can't thank them enough. Definitely the coolest South Austin music spot I've ever been to. All you locals should go there and support such a great place -they really care about music and fans. They let us give away free Smithwick's Ale until it ran out (almost all day long). I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks, Irie.
Not to forget our other sponsors - Smithwicks Ale, Strait Music (the coolest local independent music shop), Discrevolt, Alternative Addiction, Foto47. Thanks to Gabe McNatt and Thru Windows for running it and thanks to Red 6 for donating the video.
Jam Now was there the entire time, recording and broadcasting. Jim Norton and those guys are also a real class act. They even helped us set up the tent. I was on Jim's shoulders at one point securing a bungie, which was a little strange, as I had met him 10 minutes earlier. At one point, jim had been mixing and broadcasting for 14 strait hours. Respect. Thanks Jim and Jam Now from Canon. When we get the recording, we will post it for all the fans that missed the show.
