Fly, Mordecai
Fly, Mordecai's dynamic is fantastic, and the musicality of each member really exhausts the three piece format. So much music from three guys, originally a four piece. When a replacement vocalist couldn't be decided upon, songwriter Jason Petty blossomed into the extra vocal element that really changed the band into what is should be. Once the vocals provided a voice, rather than just lyrics, the artful nature of Fly's music became easier to see. The intricate and skillful drumming of M. Powe is one of a kind in this genre, comprising an equal portion of the music, rather than competing with it. They are currently MIA as a group, although several fans have placed members in different places, from California to Law School to ODIS (perfoming at sxsw). The rumours of a reunion and second album keep us all on edge. Hurry up, fellas!
Dreams Carved Under Indifferent Stars is out of stock at Canonrecords.com, but you can still get it at CD Baby.

Check out Fly's MySpace page. Tell them that the fans are waiting for another album.
